1. Scope
This notice applies to upnabout.com and its interactive app demo. It does not describe a released mobile application or operational alert service, because those services are not currently available through this website.

2. Information handled today
Information you provide
The current website has no account registration, contact form, mailing list, payment form or working app download. The demo does not transmit or save names, phone numbers, settings, check-ins or other information entered or selected inside the demo.
Technical information
Like most websites, the web server and infrastructure providers may process basic request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include an IP address, requested page, date and time, browser or device type, referring page and error or security events.
Google Fonts
The site currently requests typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser makes those requests, Google receives technical request information such as your IP address, the font URL and browser headers. Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies and does not use this information for user profiles or targeted advertising. See Google Fonts privacy information.
3. How information is used
Technical request information is used only as reasonably necessary to:
- deliver pages and static assets;
- maintain reliability and diagnose errors;
- prevent abuse and investigate security incidents; and
- understand aggregate server load without advertising profiles.
Up & About does not use the current site for behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking or automated decisions about visitors.
6. Retention and security
The current website uses the following retention schedule:
- Ordinary web-server request and error logs: deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
- Security and abuse records: relevant records may be isolated and retained for up to 12 months after an incident is resolved.
- Email correspondence: messages sent to info@upnabout.com may be retained for up to 24 months after the last exchange so questions and privacy requests can be handled consistently.
- Prototype activity: not transmitted to or retained by Up & About.
Information may be kept longer when reasonably necessary to comply with law, preserve evidence, resolve a dispute or establish or defend legal claims. Provider backups may remain temporarily under the provider’s deletion cycle and are not used for ordinary operations.
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
7. Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether personal information is held about you and to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Because the current site does not accept accounts or direct submissions, Up & About ordinarily cannot identify a visitor from ordinary browsing activity alone.
To make a request, email info@upnabout.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Enough information may be requested to verify that a response is sent to the correct person.
The site is not directed to children under 13, and the current site does not knowingly request information from children.
8. The future mobile service
The planned service may need information such as names, phone numbers, check-in schedules, trusted contacts, addresses, access notes, notification tokens and alert-related location information. None of those future practices are covered by vague promises here.
Before collection begins, a complete app notice will explain exactly what is collected, why, the lawful basis where applicable, who receives it, international transfers, retention periods, security controls and how people exercise their rights.
